The TVG-SYS Vari-gel MIDI System is ideal for standard preparatory and analytical electrophoresis techniques. Colour-coded combs of 1, 1.5 or 2mm thickness provide a maximum 80-sample throughput. Three UV-transparent gel-casting trays of dimensions 10 x 7, 10 x 10 and 10 x 15cm allow nucleic acids to be resolved over longer and shorter distances as preferred, as well enabling the electrophoresis tank to remain in use during casting. Aluminium casting gates at the ends of each tray guarantee leak free casting when they are first lined with agarose, while TVG-SS Scie-Plas Super-Seals are available for flexible gel-casting if preferred.
