Cellulose Acetate System

For clinical electrophoresis techniques


The CA-SYS system was designed in close collaboration with NHS Biomedical Scientists, to run cellulose acetate membranes and wick-based electrophoresis applications, particularly in the two-dimensional screening of inherited metabolic disorders in children.  


Adjustable bridge pieces can be positioned anywhere within the CA-SYS unit to support cellulose acetate membranes up to 230mm in length.  Clamping bars lock within clip holders on each adjustable bridge piece to secure up to three small/standard 78 x 75/150mm cellulose acetate membranes in the CA-SYS.


Cellulose acetate membranes are available from Scie-Plas in small (78 x 75mm / CA-MEM-S), standard (75 x 150mm / CA-MEM-M) and large (145 x 192mm / CA-MEM-L) sizes.
